EPISODE 2 - Identity in a celebrity driven world
Let’s do this:
Take time to listen and respond to some of Gemma's suggestions-
Make some time to sit quietly with Jesus and let his love and kindness soak through you.
Take time with God to get everything else into perspective, maybe go for a walk, and have a chat with Jesus.
Write down the lies - I’m too loud or too quiet, too young or too old. Then have a moment with God and repent for not believing the truth of what He says over you. Write that truth down and start declaring it, and every time that negative pops into your head, declare the truth from Gods word and let it go deep from your mouth to your heart.
Put post it notes around the house – I am brave, I am confident, I am enough, I can do this – why - because Christ lives in me!
Set reminders on your phone to talk to Jesus and pray.
Find scriptures and discover the power them declaring out loud. Declare truth by looking yourself in the eye - until you believe it in your heart.
Let's finish by looking at the scripture that Jo read.
Isaiah 61:3- He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyful blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair, in their righteousness they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory.
Wow, just imagine being a display of his splendour.
