Spreading the RISE love

We love spreading the RISE love beyond our four walls and loving women who live next door to other nations. One way we can do this is sowing into charities who support women in many ways. Read about one of the charities RISE supports.

An African Dream

An African Dream exists to educate, equip and transform the community of East Kasese in Uganda. They do this via various projects to find out about the amazing work they are doing in transforming lives do check out their website: An African Dream

Widows are particularly vulnerable in Uganda, although these women are also very resourceful, generous and often sharing their homes with other vulnerable people and orphans. In the region that AAD works the number of widows they have connection with through Rev Lumika is around 300. Their support of the Widows has included, supplying them with pigs, attending conferences to encourage them in their Christian faith, and food parcels at Christmas.

If you would like to support their work with Widows you can pray for them and/or give financially to our Christmas Meal Fund - £5 will provide a widow and her household some special food this Christmas.
